Welcome to Gîte des Falaises, nestled in a truly incredible setting between the impressive chalk cliffs and the meandering Seine! You'll be captivated by the magic of this place, with its dazzling white chalk hills under the sun, covered in protected forests and meadows (Natura 2000), and on the other, bordering the property, the old towpath along the river, offering a glimpse of passing barges and other boats. From the cottage windows, you'll be enthralled by one or the other. This charming little stone house is truly delightful: designed with a holiday and relaxation in mind, it's comfortable, cozy, and welcoming. You'll enjoy strolling or playing in the garden, curling up with a book on the sofa, playing the many board games, chatting, or enjoying meals outdoors on the sheltered terrace. Games are available (bowling, archery for children, etc.). For walks, the towpath leads you on foot to Petit Andely (1.5 km) where you can shop, have a coffee on a terrace or in a restaurant, while the winding roads of the Côte du Thuit will take you up to magnificent panoramic views or offer walks in the forest. Just opposite, there's a climbing site and all around, plenty of hidden gems to discover. On the ground floor: entrance into the bright living room with its dual aspect, overlooking the garden and the Seine on one side, and the chalk cliffs on the other. The comfortable living room features a sofa (which can be converted into a bed if needed) and armchairs, a spacious dining area, and a small but well-equipped kitchen. Upstairs: two attic bedrooms, a shower room (with a large shower), and a separate toilet. The first bedroom overlooks the garden and has a double bed (150x200cm), while the second, with two bunk beds (90x200cm), overlooks the garden and the Seine. To the side, you have your own private garden (with a griddle) and a covered terrace, perfect for year-round enjoyment. You also have access to Elisabeth's large garden (this is her second home), beautifully landscaped with flowers in the warmer months and trees, which extends to the Seine. The property is fully enclosed (fenced) and access to the towpath is secured by a gate, for which you will have a key. Your dogs are welcome provided they respect the resident dog (who, however, does not like cats). Ample parking is available.
